Track Google Ads Conversions

  • Updated

Each time a lead is created using one of your Further tools, Further can fire off a conversion event to your Google Ads account. Viewing this data in your reports can help you understand the ROI of Google Ad spend. It also offers a better understanding of the campaign, keyword and creative performance for future optimization.

In this article we’ll go over how to set up a conversion event from Google Ads to Further.

Note: This installation assumes that the primary Google Ads site tag is installed on the site. We will just configure the event code here.

Set Up

Go to Google Ads and in the top navigation click on Tools & Settings, it has a wrench icon above it.

In the dropdown, click Conversions in the Measurement section.

Create a new conversion pixel, or use an existing one.

After creating the event, click on Install the tag yourself. Scroll down to the second box and copy/paste the highlighted section of the code.

From the example above, remove the line:

'event_callback': callback

The remaining code will need to be sent to Further and it should look like this:

gtag('event', 'conversion', {'send_to': 'AW-870748654/xfwTCL-zqIIDEO6jmp8D'});

Please send the code to your Customer Success Manager for activation on the Further side.
