Display Pricing Per Room/Occupancy Types

  • Updated

We know how beneficial it can be to offer straightforward pricing for your community as there can be a large increase in private vs semi-private pricing.  Within your tools, we now have the option to display pricing both ways.

Note: The additional price points you create will not be visible if you use Price Filtering. For all options to display, you’ll have to disable price filtering or contact support@talkfurther.com.

In this article, we’ll go over how to set up different price points for the same care type. For example, you can display Assisted Living pricing with different prices for  ‘Private’ vs ‘Semi-Private’ rooms. This feature is available for Virtual Sales Assistant (VSA) and the Conversational Webform (CW).

Note

Locate Community

Select Web Assistant in the left navigation menu.

Find the appropriate community and click on the flow.

Note: If your community website(s) uses both the VSA and CW, you will need to replicate this process for both of your Further tools. If you need help finding your community in a flow see the article here

In the Flow Editor, click the Related Communities tab. In the left menu, click the desired community name.

Add New Price Options for a Category

To the right you can see the Prices section.

You will need to think carefully about the name of the new pricing option. The tag that will differentiate the different care type prices needs to be surrounded by a single quotation mark on each side.

For example, if you’re making a price difference for Assisted Living with Private accommodations, you would use the following:

Assisted Living ‘Private’

Enter the Name and Cost following the naming convention above. When you’re done click Add Price to save the new care type price option.

To keep your changes, click Save in the top right.

Select Save and Publish in the popup and click Confirm to make your new pricing category live.

Your changes will display as follows:

Disable Price Filtering

The care-type price differences will not display if you have price filtering enabled for your flows. Price filtering does not recognize the tags for different price points, and will only display the original care type and price.

For all of your price points to show, you need to disable price filtering.

In the Flow Editor, click the Settings tab.

Look for the Price filtering switch. Toggle the switch left to disable price filtering.

Now all price points, including different price points for care types will be displayed in the flows. If you need assistance, please contact support@talkfurther.com
