Remove a Prospect From Automated SMS or Email Outreach

  • Updated

In a messaging Campaign, you can control who receives automated messages. Removing a prospect from a campaign is helpful if you have already reached out to the prospect through another channel. For example, the prospect may have called at a later time and already received the necessary information making a follow-up message unnecessary.

There are four opportunities to remove a prospect from a campaign: when you receive the daily or weekly campaign reminder email, by searching for the specific lead in a campaign in your dashboard, when the lead notification is emailed to you, or by finding a conversation with the lead in your dashboard.

In this article, we'll go over the different ways to remove prospects from campaigns.

Note: Only Corporate users can remove prospects from campaigns.

Remove via Campaign Reminders

Note: Once you remove a prospect from a campaign, they are permanently removed. If the prospect later inquires again, they will not be added to the campaign again.

Your team will be emailed both weekly and daily reminders of who is scheduled to receive outreach.

In all emailed reminders, there is a Remove Prospects from Outeach button at the bottom of the list of names we will be reaching out to. Click the button to open up the Scheduled Messages tab in your Further Dashboard

You will see the prospect’s name and contact information, which campaign they were in, and whether they were contacted that day, week, or both.

Click Remove next to the prospect you'd like to prevent from receiving additional messaging.

Find and Remove a Prospect from a Campaign

Note: Once you remove a prospect from a campaign, they are permanently removed. If the prospect later inquires again, they will not be added to the campaign again.

If you want to remove a prospect from a campaign, without waiting for one of the campaign reminder emails, follow the steps below.

Click Messaging in the left menu of the Further Dashboard. On the Lead Messaging page, click the Scheduled Messages tab.

Use the search bar to find a message based on a prospect's name.

Note: You may have to adjust the filters to find the scheduled message to your prospect.

Once you’ve found a scheduled message to a prospect, click Remove to the right of the prospect message and the prospect will be removed from future campaign messages.

Remove via Lead Conversation

Note: Once you remove a prospect from a campaign, they are permanently removed. If the prospect later inquires again, they will not be added to the campaign again.

You can also remove a prospect from a campaign directly in a conversation with them. You can do this by accessing your Further Dashboard via the Lead Notification we sent you or by logging in directly to the Further Dashboard

To do this by Lead Notification click "View Conversation" at the bottom of the chat transcript of your lead notification email.  This will open your Further Dashboard to the specific profile.  At the bottom of the transcript click Remove from Outreach.

Or, if you have logged into your Further Dashboard and did not go to the specific lead, navigate to All Conversations in the left menu. Depending on your access level, your surrounding dashboard options may look different.

Use the filters and search bar to find the appropriate lead conversation. Click on the desired conversation.

In the conversation, you will see a notice if the prospect is scheduled to receive a campaign message. To remove them from the campaign, click Remove from Outreach.
